The Weihua crane hook is the most commonly used fetching device in lifting operations. It bears the entire load of lifting. Once routine inspections are not done and problems such as damage or unreliable fixation occur, it is easy to cause safety accidents.
What types of hooks are there?
Crane hooks are widely classified. Generally speaking, according to different manufacturing methods, they can be divided into forged hooks and laminated hooks; according to different shapes, they can be divided into single hooks and double hooks.
Today I will introduce to you the two most common ones:
Chip hook
There are two types of chip hooks: single hook and double hook. This kind of hook has a simple structure, reliable operation and easy maintenance. Single hooks are mostly used in casting cranes, while double hooks are mostly used in general-purpose cranes over 100 tons.
Forged hook
Forged hooks are divided into single hooks and double hooks. Because the force of a single hook will deflect, it is not as beneficial as the symmetrical force of a double hook. Therefore, single hooks are mostly used for small and medium-sized cranes below 75 tons, and double hooks are mostly used for large-tonnage cranes above 75 tons.
Routine maintenance of crane hook?
The safety and stability of the hook plays an important role in safe production. Daily safety inspection and maintenance of the hook should be carried out frequently during use to ensure safe production. Generally speaking, routine inspection and maintenance of hooks include the following:
(1) Clean the crane hook group body with a non-corrosive organic solvent, dry it and inspect it with a magnifying glass. If cracks are found, replace them immediately and no repair welding is allowed.
(2) Check the hook opening and the wear amount of the dangerous section.
(3) Check whether the pulley groove and rim are evenly worn, whether the wire rope matches the wheel groove, and whether the pulley is loose or shaking.
(4) Ensure that the rotating part of the hook can rotate freely and the gap cannot be too large. If it is difficult to rotate or stuck, you should check whether the bearings, bushings are damaged or there is insufficient lubrication.
(5) Check the main hook for overload damage.
(6) Check the hook guard plate, beam and other parts. If the guard plate is seriously worn, it can be repaired and re-bored after welding. If new parts are replaced, it is necessary to ensure that the mechanical properties of the material meet the requirements.
(7) Check the anti-unhooking device.
